Zauralye-2024 6th All-Russia Investment Sabantuy started in Sibay. The official opening ceremony was held by Andrey Nazarov, the Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan. He expressed gratitude to the people of Sibay for their warm hospitality and dedicated efforts in organizing the event. The Head of the Cabinet of Ministers also highlighted the consistent growth in the number of international participants attending the forum each year, emphasizing the expanding scope of topics under discussion. It is emerging as a catalyst for the international economic vitality of Bashkortostan - in just the last 18 days, 7 official delegations from Uzbekistan have visited our Republic. Delegations from over 10 countries from near and far abroad, including Belarus, China, Türkiye, Iran and Uzbekistan, are taking part in the Investment Sabantuy.

“This is a large-scale nationwide event. Of course, its scope goes beyond addressing development issues solely within the Trans-Urals or Bashkortostan. The objectives here are much broader - to foster inter-ethnic and interstate relations with our friends and partners from other countries: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, China, and other nations interested in cooperation with the Russian Federation and Bashkortostan. It's worth noting that the number of international participants grows every year,” addressed Andrey Nazarov to the guests. “With 3,500 participants in this year's All-Russia Investment Sabantuy, I am confident they will have ample opportunity to discuss all the agenda items and contribute to the fruitful development of Bashkortostan, the Russian Federation, and our interstate relations.”

The opening ceremony was attended by Farhod Ermanov, Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Denis Butsayev, CEO of the Russian Environmental Operator Company, Mukhtor Shonazarov, First Deputy Head of the Agency for Mahallabay and Entrepreneurship Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Guych Garayev, Consul General of Turkmenistan in Kazan.

In his welcoming speech, Farhod Ermanov outlined the key areas of interest for the guests from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, emphasizing primarily economic cooperation and the establishment of direct governmental and commercial ties between the republics. His speech effectively served as a concise presentation of the region's potential, coupled with a direct call to foster constructive relations.

“During our delegation's visit to the Republic of Bashkortostan, we reached several bilateral agreements in trade, economics, and investment. However, I believe these agreements are just the beginning. We aim to establish a robust foundation for future mutually beneficial collaborations across various sectors, including culture, agriculture, machinery, and the supply of commodities like sunflower oil and timber to our region,” Farhod Ermanov remarked.

Wrapping up his address, the Head of the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan commended the high level of organization of the Zauralye-2024 Investment Sabantuy and applauded the forum's rich program. Denis Butsayev, CEO of the Russian Environmental Operator Company, also shared his insights. He emphasized that Bashkortostan has recently demonstrated remarkable achievements in terms of investment and economics. Simultaneously, the region has emerged as a leader in environmental ratings nationwide.

This presents us with a remarkable and unparalleled opportunity to address the challenges of sustainable development on one of the most prominent regional economic platforms,” said Denis Butsaev. “During the forum, we aim to solidify our collaboration further by signing additional agreements. It's worth noting that many initiatives initiated at the Sibay forum continue onto larger economic platforms, such as the St. Petersburg and Eastern Economic Forums. We've seen several discussions initiated here evolve into agreements signed at these higher-level forums, all while preserving the core principles and commitments made here.”

Following the greetings, the officials proceeded to tour the key venues of Zauralye-2024 6th All-Russia Investment Sabantuy. They engaged in discussions with participants of the qualifying round of Global Management Challenge Bashkortostan Strategy and Business Management Cup and explored the exhibits showcasing the districts of the Trans-Urals. These exhibits offered insights into the everyday life, traditions, and culture of the region.
