Qualifying Rounds Global Management Challenge Championship for Business Management Starts in Bashkortostan
The championship's regional stage was organized by the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. The co-organizers are the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and the Ministry of Economic Development and Investment Policy of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The championship held as part of the Investment Sabantuy in Sibay brought together over 80 people. They are regional civil servants, entrepreneurs and public figures. They formed 18 teams.
The game scenario requires the participants to manage virtual enterprises. At the initial stage, each company has money, production, personnel and other assets. The task is to build a successful business.
Global Management Challenge helps to develop entrepreneurial skills. From personal skills, such as teamwork, to professional skills, such as financial analysis and business planning. Aleksandr Solovyev, Project Director of the Centre for Innovative Educational Technologies of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, told the reporters that the participants go through 4 quarters in one day. The speaker noted that the virtual year is comparable to the real one in terms of the experience that the participants will get.
Based on the results of the qualifying rounds, the three best teams will be identified in Sibay. In July, they will participate in the final of the Bashkortostan Cup in Ufa. Andrey Nazarov, Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, welcomed the participants of the championship and noted that the next stage of the competition would be held in the Bashkir capital.
“It is a great honor for Bashkortostan to host the National Championship of this significant event in Ufa in July. We have received the baton from Perm Krai,” emphasized the Head of the Regional Cabinet of Ministers.
The winner of the national stage will be able to participate in the international championship to be held in the Indian city of Delhi in September.
