Despite Western sanctions, the Russian market remains a priority interest for European businesses. Vittorio Torrembini, President of the Association of Italian Entrepreneurs in Russia (GIM Unimpresa), addressed this subject in his interview with the Press Office of the Zauralye-2024 Forum. A delegation of Italian entrepreneurs is set to participate in the 6th Zauralye All-Russia Investment Sabantuy, which will be held from May 24 to May 26 in Sibay, Republic of Bashkortostan.
“Historically, our European and Italian firms have thrived in Bashkortostan and Russia. However, our recent challenges primarily stem from European executives rather than our Russian counterparts or management. The main hurdles are ours, not yours. The sanctions, implemented two years ago, significantly impede our operations, presenting obstacles that can sometimes seem insurmountable. This includes restrictions on partnering with Russian companies. You grasp the complexity of the issues we will need to address at the Investment Sabantuy, ” said the President of the Association.
