Zauralye-2024 Investment Sabantuy: Sibay in Bashkortostan to Become the Site for Partnership Dialogue between China and Russia Again
We are only one month away from the most desirable business event of the year - Zauralye 2024 All-Russia Investment Sabantuy. The Forum will be held in Sibay, the Republic of Bashkortostan between May 23 and May 25. It is expected to become a colossal event. International partners are already working on their agenda. It lists both projects in progress and investment offers for the future.
- Last year Zauralye investment sabantuy was participated by a substantial delegation from the People's Republic of China. It included over 50 delegates from the former Celestial Empire. In total the forum was attended by representatives of 9 countries including Iran, Türkiye, India, Belarus, Kazakhstan. China is Bashkortostan's leading trade partner. As of the last year this country ranked first and reached the share of nearly a quarter of the entire commodity turnover of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Together with our colleagues from the PRC we are working on a range of promising projects. One of them is a fiber-cement factory with the total scope of investments around 5 billion rubles. We are convinced that Zauralye-2024 will become a perfect ground for discussing further mutual prospects, - said Margarita Bolycheva, the Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activity of the Republic of Bashkortostan
One of the headliners of the forum will be Zang Boyang, the Head of the Russian Branch of LS Group. He emphasized the importance of Zauralye forum for development of a business dialogue between China and Russian regions.
- China views Zauralye investment sabantuy as one of the most effective platforms for a business dialogue with Russian regions, for implementation of joint investment projects and forming a comfortable business climate. We are glad to have the Republic of Bashkortostan as one of our key strategic partners. China is interested in enhancing cooperation with Russia in various areas. China obviously expresses their interest in extending multi-faceted cooperation with Bashkortostan. The PRC delegation is planning on attending the forum having formed a substantial delegation.
As you may remember, previously the Republic of Bashkortostan established the first Bashkir - Chinese Trade House under the Republic's Chamber of Commerce and Industry. CCI of the Republic of Bashkortostan has signed a respective agreement with Chinese company Maiken Industrial Materials Co., Ltd. The share of the Russian and Chinese parties are 51% and 49% respectively. The Trade House is ready to offer reliable payment services, assist in foreign trade and provide customs support. Another significant work of the Trade House is research interactions. It will include drawing specifications for buying process technologies and equipment. This field is rapidly extending supported by the order of Radiy Khabirov, the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The commodity turnover between Bashkortostan and China in the first six months of 2023 grew by striking 88%. Currently the Republic of Bashkortostan maintains close ties with several Chinese provinces, such as Anhui, Jiangsu, Hubei and more. Export is mostly comprised with farming raw materials, foods and mechanical engineering products. While imported goods mostly are equipment and plastic items.
